At this time, GDC does not take costumes from dancers as donations. Should there ever be a need for a certain costume after use in a production or competition, we will send a newsletter specifically asking for certain costumes if available. If you are looking to donate regular, cleaned, good condition dance attire used during classes, you may do so.
Note: Please do not drop off any costumes to the studio without our earlier noted request or they will be kindly refused.
What else can I do? There are online communities and websites offering services to take your costumes either via donation or for you rent out or consign. A quick internet search for businesses within B.C/Canada for donating, consigning and renting dance costumes will provide you a list of currently available businesses offering this service.
