Class Instructor: Hip Hop / Acrobatics

Emily began dancing at the age of 5 and has trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics & Hip Hop. In her teen years Emily’s passion for Hip Hop grew and she began competitive Hip Hop training under Angela Lowndes tutelage. She competed successfully across the lower mainland and Vancouver Island while maintaining her training in other dance styles. Emily graduated from Dance Works Academy’s competitive program in 2007 and soon realized her passion for dance would evolve into a passion for teaching. She continued her training and started her apprenticeship at Dance Works in 2014 until 2017 when she began her teaching journey. Emily loves sharing her enthusiasm for Hip Hop with all of her students and desires to inspire the next generation of dancers.
